Well, hello there.

I’m Jenny Kleeman, a British journalist, author and broadcaster. I write long things for The Guardian, The Sunday Times and The New Statesman, and longer things, like Sex Robots & Vegan Meat, my first book, and The Price of Life, which came out in 2024. I also make radio programmes and podcasts for the BBC. I’m drawn to engaging characters and big ethical conundrums. Welcome to my newsletter.

Over the past 20 years I’ve been a television foreign correspondent from Afghanistan to the Amazon, a breakfast radio host during a pandemic, and a failed rock star. Through it all, I’ve been filling up A6 hardback red notebooks with ideas, quotes, thoughts and reflections.
